The Brave Journal
A journal to help young people understand and process feelings of anxiety, worry and stress.
More details
Created by the brilliant minds of Youthscape’s Headstrong team, this journal equips young people to better recognise feelings of anxiety and learn how to release them.
It’s full of creative activities that both challenge and encourage a young person who is processing anxiety. No matter how they are feeling on any given day, there will be something they can engage with amongst the pages of this journal.
Why Brave?
You may be wondering why it’s called The Brave Journal, when bravery is perhaps the last thing we associate with anxiety! But surprisingly, anxiety and bravery go hand in hand.
In the words of Mary Anne Radmacher, “Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the small voice at the end of the day that says, ‘I’ll try again tomorrow’”.
Finding ways to keep going when we feel overwhelmed is an extreme act of courage, and for young people, even picking up this journal will feel like a brave battle cry that says – “I will find ways to manage these feelings and not give up!”
